A Channel 4 journalist, Julian Mannion nearly got a taste of the violence that Zimbabwe president, Robert Mugabe’s thugs have been unleashing on innocent Zimbabweans.

Robert Mugabe declared himself president of Zimbabwe after his one-candidate presidential election run-off which has been condemned as being unfair and marred by violence.

  1. Mark Forrester says:

Julian Mannion sure got underneath Mugabe’s skin. If only more African leaders had the guts to do the same and confront him.

  2. KOGY says:

Hi Mark, you are right, I had never seen Mugabe that angry. But other African leaders will not confront him like that because, some have committed similar crimes or even worse than Mugabe.

Like Mugabe said, he would want to see which African leader will point a finger at him.

  3. Hilary says:

The situation in Zimbabwe is getting worse and there doesn’t seem to be an easy solution. However, something can be done. The international community, specifically the other African leaders, must speak out against Mugabe’s crimes against humanity. There’s a new petition that demands world leaders to react against Mugabe’s tyranny. If you want to sign it, here’s the link: http://go.care2.com/15560399

  4. Run-Off Khumalo says:

It’s a shame African leaders have once again disgraced Africa. They had a chance to show the world that Africa can sort out it’s own problems, but by their failure to take a firm stance against the illegitimate government of Zimbabwe, they are a let down to Africa.

They passed a resolution encouraging Mugabe to negotiate with Tsvangirai to form a government of national unity. Does anyone believe Mugabe will do that?

Mugabe’s government should not be recognised….period!

  5. Living Zimbabwe says:

This event was just amazing. How can person who leads nation act the fool like that? He is running scared feels the walls closing in. He knows his time has come.

  6. KOGY says:

@ Living Zim……the old man is under pressure but he just doesn’t want to go. It’s unfortunate he keeps draging the country into the mud
