Zimbabwe Elections 2008

Zimbabweans have gone to the polls to elect the next president in one of the countrys most important election since independence.

As voting has closed now in Zimbabwe, comes the long wait for results. It’s anxious times! There has been allegations of vote rigging by the opposition, however President Mugabe in a video interview disputed this after voting in Highfield.

Early indications seems to show a peaceful election and I have also spoke to relatives and friends who have voted today. They didn’t have much problems, even though a number of people could not find their names on the voters roll.

As for the outcome, we have to wait and see!
