Zimbabwe and the elections that were never meant to happen

“Zimbabwe will never be a colony again” this is something that we have heard over and over again from Zanu PF officials. The survival of Zanu and the re-election of Mugabe as president depended on the party using the land card again. Trying to fool people to believe that voting for Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC will be giving land to the white people again. They forgot the real issues affecting the Zimbabwean people. The people are hungry, they have no jobs, cost of living is very high, inflation is over 100 000 percent, there is no medication in hospitals, thousands of Zimbabweans are fleeing the country everyday.
These are the some of the issues people were thinking of when they went to vote. So when the land card did not work and the people voted so overwhelmingly for Morgan Tsvangirai and the MDC was it a shock to Zanu PF? A party that has lost touch with reality. Voting for Tsvangirai and MDC was never supposed to be an option. Could this be the reason why we have not seen those election results.

“Morgan Tsvangirai, Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), their supporters and anyone else who does not support and vote for Zanu PF are British puppets”. Very popular statement with Zanu PF officials, supporters and it’s mouth piece the Herald. So when the people of Mabvuku and Tafara who have been living with raw sewage on their door steps, (see pictures here) vote for Tsvangirai and his MDC does that make them British puppets? When all those hungry Zimbabweans, the starving billionaires say enough is enough and vote for Morgan Tsvangirai does that make them British puppets?
So if the majority of Zimbabweans voted for Morgan Tsvangirai and his Movement for Democratic Change(MDC), it means they are all British puppets. Could this explain why the Zimbabwe officials do not want to release the election results because the people have voted for a British puppet. It must be very embarrassing to the president, Zanu PF and all it’s supporters.

Zanu PF is already calling for a recount of the presidential votes. How ridiculous? The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has not announced the results yet. We are still waiting. So how can they ask for a recount of something they do not know the results. If they already know the results, why is it that they have not been made public so that everyone knows? Do we have laws for Zanu PF and laws for all other citizens of Zimbabwe?
Zimbabwe Electoral Commission officials have been arrested for electoral fraud, prejudicing Robert Mugabe of nearly 5000 votes. It must be very painful to lose to that British puppet Morgan Tsvangirai. Does Zanu PF have the power to delay the release of the election results while they press for a vote recount? Or is it that their rigging machine is at work, like most people believe? Is it that they lost by such a big margin that rigging is so difficult this time around?

I have nothing good to say about these misguided elements masquerading as war veterans, going about invading commercial farms and causing violence among peace loving and innocent Zimbabweans. These people are opportunists, they know nothing about how their actions are destroying whatever little was left of the country’s agricultural sector. They don’t seem to realise that they are part of the problem and why Zimbabwe is where it is today. How many still remember Chenjerai Hunvi. One fanatic who led the so called war veterans on a wave of violence against innocent Zimbabweans. His group of thugs were rewarded with those abnormal amounts of more printed bank notes which led to the free fall of the Zimbabwean dollar. These so called war veterans are a law unto themselves because nothing ever happens to them. They led the violent farm invasions, and according to them land re-distribution means giving land to war veterans and Zanu PF supporters. Why does every Zimbabwe got to be a supporter of Zanu PF? As for the current war veterans leader Jabulani Sibanda, he seems to jump at every opportunity to gain popularity. Read about him here

Given that Robert Mugabe, Zanu PF and it’s supporters can not stand Morgan Tsvangirai being the next president of Zimbabwe does this explain why we have not seen the results of the presidential elections? Were these elections supposed to take place at all, or was it a matter of fulfilling a constitutional requirement?
