Zimbabwe: 7 Elephants, 1 Buffalo slaughtered for Heroes Day celebrations


The National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority gave 7 Elephants and a Buffalo to Mashonaland Central Province to be slaughtered for this year’s Heroes Day celebrations.
The animals are from Dande Safaris in Mbire district, the organising chairperson Josphat Jaji said the beasts were part of their hunting quota.

Mr Jaji said the meat would be shared among the eight districts. Large numbers were expected to attend the Heroes Day celebrations at Chipadze Stadium in Bindura.
