Zimbabwe PM Morgan Tsvangirai has said that there can be no excuse for the continued failure to fully constitute the inclusive government in order for it to focus on the Global Political Agreement(GPA) agenda of democratisation and economic stabilisation. There are still a number of outstanding issues which Zanu Pf and the MDC have failed to resolve since the formation of the Unity Government.

Robert Mugabe seems determined to hold on to all the power…and he has also managed to get PM Morgan Tsvangirai to run around Western countries to have restrictive measures imposed on Zanu Pf officials removed. Zanu Pf officials can not wait anymore to start globe trotting in the Western world wasting government money on shopping sprees.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai said

“The outstanding issues, including the appointment of the Attorney General, Reserve Bank Governor and Provincial Governors continue to impede the progress of the inclusive Government, limiting our ability to deliver services and a free, prosperous society to the people of Zimbabwe,”

It is more important to have the above issues resolved, than Robert Mugabe asking Tsvangirai to go around the European Union countries asking them to remove travel restrictions on Mugabe and other Zanu Pf officials so they can go about wasting government money in the Western world. They should stay in Zimbabwe and rebuild the country they destroyed through their policies of mass destruction.

Zanu PF deputy spokesperson Ephraim Masawi claimed that nothing had been done to address the central questions of the removal of restrictive measures against Zimbabwe.

“It is now six months since the formation of the inclusive Government and Zanu PF leaders as well as their families are still inhibited to visit Europe, United States of America, as indeed in respect of their children to go to school in these countries,” Mr Masawi was quoted as saying.

So, now we know why they want these travel restrictions removed….they want to waste money on their spending sprees in the Western world. They want to send their children to schools in the Western world, whilst the rest of Zimbabweans can not afford meaningful education for their children. Zanu Pf members and their families should stay in Zimbabwe, let they enjoy life in Zimbabwe because Zanu PF government is responsible for the way Zimbabwe is today. Plus they should be reminded…Zanu Pf is not Zimbabwe, so travel restrictions on Zanu Pf members does not equal to sanctions on Zimbabwe.

But unfortunately PM Tsvangirai has decided to run around the globe asking for these travel restrictions to be removed. So is that the reason why Tsvangirai did not get as much money from the various Western governments when he went begging a few months ago? Is it that the Western world is slowly losing trust in Tsvangirai?

“The Prime Minister has publicly declared that he supports the full implementation of the GPA, including the restoration of the rule of law and the lifting of any restrictive measures”.

Is PM Morgan Tsvangirai still with the people or he is now turning into one of them? MDC MPs and members are still being persecuted, Roy Bernet is still to be sworn-in and many other issues that need to be resolved. The Inclusive government must be working on resolving issues which benefit Zimbabweans not travel restrictions which will only benefit Zanu Pf members and their families.
