The two factions of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) have announced that they will be joining forces in parliament to form a majority against Robert Mugabe’s Zanu PF. The presidents of the two MDC factions Morgan Tsvangirai and Arthur Mutambara announced at a press conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“It’s our pleasure to announce that our two formations in parliament have agreed to work together,” said Morgan Tsvangirai the president of the MDC speaking alongside Arthur Mutambara leader of the other MDC faction.
“There will be no divisions amongst ourselves vis-a-vis the resolution of the Zimbabwean crisis. I’m here to show solidarity to the winner of the presidential election in Zimbabwe,” Said Arthur Mutambara in reference to Morgan Tsvangirai.
The two factions of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) have a combined total of 109 seats which gives them the majority in parliament and Robert Mugabe’s Zanu PF 97 seats. The MDC has also declared that Morgan Tsvangirai won the presidential election.
The election defeat seems so hard to take for Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF party as shown by their unwillingness to release the results of the elections. One month after Zimbabweans went to vote on 29 March, results of the all important presidential election are yet to be announced. Instead they have decided to carry out vote recounts, a process widely seen by the people as an attempt to rig the election results. Or are they just trying to delay the inevitable. Why don’t they just retire and leave office graceful rather than going through all this humiliation and public ridicule and humiliation.
Have they no shame?

I just hope the happy ending is near, even though it may take time. They may decide to carry out a new verification of the vote recount. Or worse a recount of the recount, crazy things this Mugabe’s government do.
BUT, God’s delays are not God’s denials

Aahh yes… and let’s not forget that Arthur himself is seeking a Parliamentary seat, by giving this support.
I think the sooner Mugabe steps down, and quietly so, the better it will be for his own life. As far as i am concerned, he is treading on a very thin line!
