Three prison officers have been arrested in Zimbabwe on allegations that they helped film the documentary exposing the inhuman treatment of prisoners in Zimbabwean jails. But WHY is it that they always arrest the innocent people in Zimbabwe? Instead of arresting the people responsible for creating these death camps, they arrest the people helping to expose the murders taking place in Zimbabwe prisons, WHY?
The television documentary, Hell Hole, produced by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, on Wednesday showed scores of skeletal prisoners dressed in rags and reportedly dying of malnutrition and HIV-Aids in filthy institutions without food, medication or basic cleaning materials.
The SABC team said sympathetic warders had been supplied with secret cameras to film conditions in two institutions, Khami prison in the western city of Bulawayo, and one in the southern border town of Beitbridge.
After the formation of the inclusive government of MDC and Zanu Pf, I thought the Zimbabwe government was going to reform. But have they reformed in anyway?
Those prison officers should be freed, and in fact the people managing these prison should be arrested.
