Thinking Of Shipping Goods To Zimbabwe? I Got Very Poor Service from ZIMCARGO.COM

My Troubles Shipping Goods To My Family In Zimbabwe: I tried to come up with a proper title for my post, it seems I can not find one that can fully show my anger on the service provided by Crosswill Services.

I didn’t think one day I will be writing such an article about a company that promised so much when I first talked to the company representative in November last year only to fail to deliver. And they were even recomended to me by a friend.
So why ‘am I so much angry with them you may ask? It’s all because they have not yet delivered my goods which was supposed to be in Zimbabwe by Christmas.

Background To My Story

I did send my goods to Zimbabwe through Crosswill Services. My goods were collected on 13 November 2007 from my place in London. They wrote a confirmation letter together with the delivery note to me which I received this year in January, saying that when the goods arrive in Zimbabwe, I will be informed by telephone.

They also state in the same letter that my relation in Zimbabwe will be kept informed of every movement of the goods until final collection.

As far as I know, nobody from Crosswill Services has ever contacted any of my family back in Zimbabwe. Besides their text mesage to say my cargo was in Durban, South Africa at the begining of January 2008, I have had no communication from them.

When I phoned their offices, a woman in the offices promised to call me back after checking the where abouts of my goods, but never did. I guess she is still checking.

I also checked the website that they have on the letter they send to me. Then I realised the website they have is not their correct website, but that of another company also trading as Zimcargo. So I wasted my time sending emails to the wrong people again.

I wrote an email again to another email address they have on the letter, but they also never bothered to reply. I’m still waiting for my goods to get to Zimbabwe, and it’s nearly three months now.

I can not believe I paid £192.00 for such poor service.

Have you send goods to Zimbabwe with Nembaware before? What was your experience like? Feel free to share by posting your comments below.

That is so annoying. Is someone meant to collect the goods in Durban or what. And with such companies you can forget about getting a refund. Good luck hey. Maybe you could try that lady you called again.

I have used zimcargo my friends used zimcargo. thousands have used zimcargo this is what you call ignorant tacticts .i recently used their services in january ‘08. they text me with updates which i understood and were simple. things might have gone over two weeks to be delieverd, but i do not blame them, because the have a lot do deal with. 1) be realistic, even if someone tells you something, do you think it is possible to deliever over a hundred drums, which 500kg by the way if you have forgotten weigh each to each address. 2) so you are saying just by luck you were the only person not to get through.3) dont mention names of any sort.. i can keep going on and on but i’ve got things to do, than be writting stories about a highly respectable and trustworthy company. Dont be a rotten apple and spoil us aswell. good luck to you in life.

    Hi Anonymous

Thanks for your comments. However I find it so difficult to understand why you seem to be so angry about what I wrote here. Please note that I was merely stating facts, writing about my personal experiences with zimcargo, not anyone elese experiences.

But why did you take it upon yourself to defend zimcargo. They did not even bother to respond to my emails nor act on my telephone enquiries. If they had honoured their contractual obligations things would not have got to this.

If you and your friends got good services, that was not the case with me. My goods took six months to get to Zimbabwe and ‘am I wrong to say that?

Yourself and your friends does not make thousands, unless if you carried out some research for zimcargo, how then do you know these figures? You even talk about the 500kg drums and how difficult it is to deliver them, is that your problem? I thought you were a paying customer?

In fact from your comments I can only conclude that you are the so called ‘marketing manager’ at zimcargo.
Now that your company has been exposed for it’s incompetent service on New Zimbabwe forumns you have decided to respond to my article 4 months later.

I would advise you to improve your company’s public relations (at least you should learn how to respond to negative publicity), improve your service and at least learn to honour your contractual obligations and also don’t promise if you can not deliver.

Is Nembaware sattan on earth HE REALLY KNOWS EVERYBODY IS STUGGLING OUR PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING.AND IN TRYING TO HELP HE IS CONTRIBUTING IN KILLING THEM .BUT IT WON;T BE LONG B4 THE ONE WHO IS MIGHTy DEALS WITH HIM LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO SAUL.

  8. KOGY Says:

@Anonymous…….I know you so love zimcargo and Nembaware to the extent that you want to accept rubish service when you are paying your hard earned cash to send your goods to Zimbabwe. You are entitled to that..BUT, that does not mean I should worship Nembaware and zimcargo like you do.

I have nothing good to say about them after how they handled my shipping to Zimbabwe. You may say whatever you want but that will not change anything.

Why is it Nembaware himself does not bother to comment on my article and tell me that I’m writing lies? Why is it he doesn’t bother to reply to my emails? Get of it….

If you want your goods to take 6 months to get to Zimbabwe, that’s your choice.
I’m here to let others know what happened to me and let them make a choice on how they want to send their goods to Zimbabwe.

If you are from zimcargo…you should be concerntrating on improving your service rather than post anonymous comments here, this will not help at all.

We sent a drum to our relatives in Harare who are suffering to help them we used a company called Friegh24 the guy was called Godfrey Nyamugure, after the our drum was picked up we left things for a couple of months then started to contact Godfrey but he gave us stories about the duty and asked us all to pay another $100 each, we refused. He avioded all attempts to contact him so reported him to the british police as we now believe this is just another con trick, we have not heard from him till now. Each comtainer of drums that we send is worth 10's of thousands of pounds that we all work hard for to help our country men and we get ripped of by our own people who should know better as they know the situation, they make good money on the shipping business but that is not enough these people are an example of what is wrong in Zimbabwe the vultures killing our counrty with no shame then say they are proude to be Zimbabwean.

  10. Anonymous Says:

does anyone actually know of a reliable honest and fairly priced shipper that can deliver drums to Harare without any tricks or rip offs

I am in Nembaware's office at the moment, i am assessing his operational structure, the shipping business has a lot of cost vagaries and this needs proper planning for eventualities.

If i get my way i will ensure i set up a good operational structure and a good customer management process.
I apologise to everyone who did not recieve the service they expected.
The only thing we have to do is run this service as a sustainable business and even thought the current situation is regretable, i believe it can be made better if not best.

Check this space after 4 weeks and i feel we will have many good things to talk about.

Thanks for supporting the company initially and my regret for all the hassles you have gone through.
    Young Nembaware.

I had been confident with the service provided by Zimcargo after reading your fliers however after more in depth search on line I am not sure if its going to be worth my while – effort and money to ship my goods home with zimcargo this year as there seems to be so much negative written comments on services provided. Very scary especially when we work so hard to save and pay for the drums and the shopping enclosed. Are we all truely Zimbabwean to each other – trust is a strong word – safe is loyal word and guaranteed is a word not to be messed with.

I think the company is called Nembaware or something. They have not delivered my drums which i send 4 months ago. They had promised to deliver in 4-6 weeks time. Anyone who is interested in exposing them pliz get in touch. Watchdog BBC and Rouge Traders are looking for people to help them with investigations. The police are also going to be informed. Dishonesty will not prevail. 020767875432 ask for Jack..Lets get the fraudsters locked up!!!!!

  14. Anonymous Says:

Please note that this company is NOT at all related to Zimcargo Ltd, Mr Nembaware is not in any way related to ZimCargo Ltd we are the only UK registered company trading as Zimcargo ltd. please be careful ask for their companies house registration details.

  15. Kojak Says:

Hi guys, thank you all for your contributions exposing these rogue cargo shippers so other fellow Zimbabweans do not get into the same problems.

If you know of any rogue traders out there, please expose them…..we don't need them in our community.

Are there any trustworthy cargo shippers out there????? I'm still to find one I can recomend to anyone.

If you know one please share…..BUT please not some fraudsters!!!! We work hard for our money..

Godfrey Nyamgure who is involved in many compnaies some of which are Swift Shipping, Swift Money Transfer and Frieght24 and how many others I don't know but he is based in Basildon UK from where he seems to be ripping people off from Zimbabwe, those of you who work hard to support your family and friends then get ripped off by this guy, there are so many of you how is he still getting away with it, why do people keep using him
