Zimbabwe Elections 2008

Why Zimbabwe? Taneta nekugara musango hama dzedu dzichidya nhoko dzezvironda ku Zimbabwe!!

Elections closed Saturday 7pm. End of the day Monday only results from 66 constituencies announced. Is there something going on that we haven’t been told? The whole nation waits, very anxiously for the results of probably the most important election in the life of the long suffering Zimbabweans since independence.

Is the rigging machine at work? I don’t know how you see it! How can one be a player and referee in the same game. Let’s be serious, everyone knows the election results.

Why play with people’s emotions? The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission should just give people the results. Morgan Tsvangirayi and MDC won the election period! People know the results, Zanu PF know the results, MDC know the results, nearly everyone know the results. Some may want to argue, some are saying let’s wait for the results being announced by the Zanu PF government! Give me a break!
Zanu PF lost and lost big time!

The pattern of results announced, even for those few seats it has been MDC, Zanu PF, MDC, Zanu PF. Why announce results in such a pattern?
Zimbabweans are not happy, talking to people in Zimbabwe they know who won. Results are in the public domain after being posted at polling station. So anyone can read for themselves and they know who won.

There are reports that Zanu PF is now planning to announce a re-run of the presidential election Tuesday. Why would Zanu PF settle for a re-run you may ask?
They know they lost the elections but are they prepared to go out just like that? Without a fight? you must be kidding, they have degrees in violence. But this time the defeat margin has been too much to rig for an outright victory, so the best way out. NO outright winner, then re-run after 20 days.
Is that good enough?

There are reports, some guys in the command centre threatened to resign Monday afternoon because of severe discrepancies in actual results and official results.

The situation, is if you are not an MP, then no ministerial post. This explains why those Zanu PF heavyweights who lost the elections will support rigging of elections. All those Zanu PF bigwigs lost, results are being manufactured to cater for these guys. See how the less influential ministers will be sacrificed!

Life in Zimbabwe is tough, and the people have spoken through the ballot. Diaspora, those economic refugees in different countries, even in China they also want to go home. We are fade-up ne kugara musango!
