Morning run complete, now home for a bit of rest before mid morning gym session. Some have said ‘music is a legal drug for runners’ checkout the all time best running songs collection here, well, this morning I was running to the music of Alick Macheso. I must admit music does give you an extra boost. Do you listen to music whilst running?

It’s Day 24 of the Summer Beach Body Challenge, and the hot weather is already here. The good thing is that exercise is now part of my life and I maintain a leaner body whole year round so now its a matter of toning up. Say no to man-boobs and the flabby tummy start doing something today.

What goals have you set yourself? What are you doing to achieve those goals?

Day 10 Summer Body Challenge

Do you have a workout partner? It’s always nice to workout with someone so you can motivate each other when the going gets tough. It’s 10 days now since I started the 30 Day Summer Body Challenge and the results are amazing. Healthy eating and exercises is the key to achieving amazing results.

Today was another Gym Day, working the shoulders. You do need strong shoulders to give yourself a base to get through those compound exercises which work the bulk muscles of your body.

Time to get back to exam preparation………..

Day 9 Summer Body Challenge – If you ain’t sweating it’s not enough

It’s now 9 days into the 30 Day Summer Body Challenge, everything going on well so far………..looking good! Another hard day in the gym, leg work day so body is a bit tired and will need a bit more rest today.

weight lossIf you ain’t sweating after 10 minutes, you better change the exercise you are doing…….this has helped me reduce my weight from over 115 kg to 92kg. Just keep moving to much rest not good…………….

7.5 hours sleep time logged today, not exactly to my target 8 hours sleep everyday.

Day 8 Summer Body Challenge

No updates for the past 2 days, well has been busy preparing for an exam, that’s out of the way now. Back in the gym again today, if you don’t work for it you will not see any results. So always make up that time to exercise and you will be rewarded with a health Summer Body.

Today was all about upper body work, mainly chest exercise, I quite like dumbbell press. But, the important thing is to be doing some sort of exercise…………if I’m not in the gym I go for Insanity Beach Body workout, high intensity cardio workout, the DVD is available on Amazon.

Day 5 Summer Body Challenge

Run for your Summer Beach Body – today was Gym FREE day to let the muscles recover. Time to get the running trainers on for an hours running in the park. Running outside is one of the toughest challenges, but if you can manage it then by the end of the 30 Day Challenge you will have the perfect summer beach body.

I have also set myself the 8 Hour Sleeping Challenge, YES, for the body to recover and rebuild very well its equally important to give it enough rest.

Day 4 Summer Body Challenge

Working hard for that Summer Body or is it Beach Body and having fun. Now it’s all about keeping up the fitness levels whilst cutting down on body fat with lots of cardio exercises and total body workout sessions.

Gym workout done first thing in the morning, exercises:

  • Ab Workout
  • Leg workout
  • Back and Core Conditioning
  • Triceps plus biceps curls

Finishing off with 20 minutes on the cross trainer
