Sadomba gets Millions of zimpapers as Dynamos FC beat Mozambique Champions

Gone are the days when Zimbabwe footballers used to enjoy that celebrity status. Gone are the days when they used to live flashy lives. Those days they earned real money, at least it was paying to be a footballer. I never heard of supporters throwing millions of dollars to footballers, save for the few hooligans who attack players with coins.
Dynamos FC striker Edward Sadomba was showered with bank notes after scoring a hat-trick for the Zimbabwe champions against Mozambique champions Costa do Sol in a Africa Champions League game at Gwanzura Stadium.
Dynamos won 3-0 courtesy of the hat-trick by Sadomba in this first leg game at Gwanzura Stadium.

Last week Dynamos FC supporters threw about 800 million dollars to Leornard Tsipa after he was expelled in the Harare derby. Even for someone who has been shown a red card, these supporters still give money?
Can’t help but feel sorry for Zimbabwe footballers WAG (wives and girlfriends). We can not even compare them to the English WAGs where it’s more like a career.

Like many other Zimbabweans, football players are suffering from the effects of the collapsing economy.
