What is so special about Robert Mugabe that SADC leaders want to do everything possible to keep this man in power? Zimbabwe can be better off without Mugabe, and as long as he remains in power many more citizens of Zimbabwe will die. With the humanitarian crisis in Zimbabwe who would want Mugabe as President?

To me Morgan Tsvangirai is right to reject the attempts by SADC leaders to prolong our suffering. Shame on them!

Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC reject false settlement:

Zimbabwe’s main opposition party will not accept a “false settlement” to the country’s political crisis, a spokesperson said on Monday, after a regional summit failed to broker a deal on a unity government.

“Our position as of now is that a false settlement is riskier than no settlement,” said Nelson Chamisa, spokesperson for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

He said that the party wanted a deal that would give it “the influence to change the situation of the people of Zimbabwe”, who face widespread food shortages and inflation.

It’s so sad what Mugabe has done to the people in Zimbabwe. What have the people done to deserve such suffering? I don’t think any sane person would support Mugabe and really expect him to get Zimbabwe out of this mess. Why can’t he do the sensible thing and GO????
