Prime Minister Tsvangirai told to approach EU countries and have sanctions imposed on Zanu Pf removed

Morgan Tsvangirai is reported to have agreed wit Robert Mugabe to craft a “definite course of action that they will sell to cabinet as a national strategy to fight the ‘illegal sanctions imposed on the country. But, I stand to be reminded…what sanctions if any were imposed on Zimbabwe, and by which countries?? Were these sanctions not imposed on Zanu Pf members and their sympathisers? The travel restrictions which have stopped them wasting government money on shopping sprees in Western countries.

Morgan Tsvangirai has been employing quite diplomacy on matters that are important to ordinary Zimbabweans. Why can’t he be open and tell Robert Mugabe and Zanu Pf what the people of Zimbabwe really want and expect from the inclusive government. Is Morgan Tsvangirai still with the people or he is now part of Zanu Pf? Maybe he has realised that he is running out of time and has decided to make the most of his time in government before his time as Prime Minister expires. Politicians are the same after all….!!

Tsvangirai is reported to have tasked Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Gorden Moyo to work on a concept paper on sanctions. The document will be titled; “Tackling international isolation: A discussion paper on sanctions/ restrictive measures”.

Tsvangirai told the President that he thought his overseas trip had laid the foundation for a follow-up in the fight against sanctions. And President Mugabe is said to have told the MDC-T leader that his expectation and that of his Zanu Pf party, was that there should be definite steps and activities by MDC-T to have sanctions removed as the party was responsible for their imposition.

Robert Mugabe has now got Tsvangirai to dance to his tune. Doing things the Zanu Pf way….why is it Tsvangirai’s responsibility to have the sanctions removed? If Tsvangirai did ask for sanctions to be imposed on the Zanu Pf government….what is it that has changed now to warrant the lifting of those sanctions???
If it’s the travel restrictions against Zanu Pf officials…..these should remain in place until they all leave government, because government money will be wasted of shopping sprees abroad.
