Government officials have denied reports that President Mugabe is not in good health. A South African newspaper had claimed Robert Mugabe was ‘secretly’ whisked away to Dubai for treatment. Mugabe is said to be back in the country after his holiday and was in good health.

The Times newspaper of South Africa had reported also that Robert Mugabe had been undergoing specialist treatment in the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile a spokesman for South African President Jacob Zuma who is due to meet President Mugabe in Harare has said the meeting was still scheduled to go ahead.

“We have not received any official communication about President Mugabe’s health, as a result our plans have not changed,” said Vincent Magwenya.
