As we embark on a new year, how I wish 2009 will be different from 2008. People have suffered in Zimbabwe, they are still suffering today and will continue to suffer if things do not change in our beloved Zimbabwe. The leadership crisis should be resolved as a matter of urgency, for how long shall we continue without a government? Hunger and starvation is now part of people’s lives, human rights violations, abductions and torture of political activists continue in Zimbabwe today. But, is that what Zimbabweans want???
How I wished Santa could take all those responsible for the suffering of Zimbabwe’s citizens to the North Pole and dump them in ice along the way.
The political crisis in the country should be resolved, and the sooner we get a government in place the better. Not any government….but a responsible government. A government accountable to the people of Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe had one of the best education in the world and now that has been destroyed. Zimbabwe used to be able to feed it’s own people and export food to other countries, now all that is history. We used to have safe tape water, we used to have electricity, we used to be able to go to the bank and withdraw money as and when we wanted it…now all this is history (dzave ndangariro). A lot of things have happened in the last few years. It’s so sad that things have come to this….
I just hope there will be change in 2009, change for a better Zimbabwe.
