Is violence and torture going make Zimbabwe people change their vote

If the ruling party and indeed the president have the sort of support from the people of Zimbabwe like they want us to believe, then why do they have to resort to violence and torture? If the people in the remote areas of Zimbabwe, where there is no exposure to any other media besides government controlled Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation are turning against the government and voting for MDC, are they also British puppets? The people of Zimbabwe voted with their mouth. They couldn’t vote for five more years of hunger and starvation. But is violence and torture going to make them change their vote?

As I’m writing this post, my thoughts go to all those people who have been victims of violence and torture in Zimbabwe. Like the two guys in the picture, why did they have to be subjected to such cruelty? Is it a crime to vote and to vote for a candidate of your own choice?
Nobody has got the right to rule other people forever that’s why elections have to be held after every five years.

Will violence make people change their vote? I hope NO, and I don’t think so. In fact given a free and fair election re-run, the ruling party and it’s sympathisers will be well embarrassed. They will regret the day they decided to rig the vote to give themselves another bite of the cherry.

Like I said before, people voted with their mouth. A hungry man is an angry man, the people showed their anger by voting against Mugabe and his party. No matter how much he tried to bribe them (with tractors, diesel, food and cars) they still voted against him whilst they enjoyed his not so generous bribes.
Now are the people of Zimbabwe paying for taking Zanu PF’s bribes and again voting against them?

I’m always interested in what you have to say, leave your comment.

Violence has worked for them on numerous occasions. Most humans will do whatever they can to preserve their lives and those of their loved ones. If such is threatened chances are high that you will do something you don’t want to. BUT, I think in the case of the people of our beloved Zimbabwe, they have had enough and the time has come to change. Strength in numbers……

Gerri- I agree with you, violance has worked for this government before. They even confess to having degrees in violance.
But we just hope the long suffering people of Zimbabwe will realise that they have the power to change everything in their own hands.

They should go out in numbers on election day, and vote this regime out of office. ….make it very difficult to rig the vote.

See how they struggled to rig in the current presidential election.

Gerri- That video makes me feel so sad! I try not to be angry because that will probably make me resort to violance as well.

These people are angry because they are no longer wanted. They have been corrupted by power and they are so angry because they are going to lose it!

They are angry because they have looted the national resources and they know their time has come to face the music.

Such violance and torture against innocent people should not be taking place in this day and age.

I know where you are coming from.
I was speechless when I was watching the video.
It saddened me a lot and I felt myself getting angry as it went on.
I don’t know what else to say.
