Grace Mugabe should be banned from Hong Kong

Why should anyone be immune from prosecution if they go about breaking the law and assaulting peace loving people? Hong Kong lawmakers and human rights activists have called for the wife of Robert Mugabe, Grace to be banned from the city after she was granted diplomatic immunity over an alleged assault.

Grace Mugabe is alleged to have assaulted a British journalist, Richard Jones.

The assault took place while Grace Mugabe and her entourage were on a luxury Asian holiday reportedly funded by $92 000 withdrawn from the Harare central bank by her husband, at a time her home country is suffering hyperinflation, widespread poverty and continued political turmoil following Robert Mugabe’s apparent loss of the 2008 presidential elections.

In the Townships we say “if the first lady is going to disgrace the country like that, maybe it’s time she stays at home”. She can also shop from the same shops and Mupedza Nhamo market that her husband Robert want us to buy from.
