Notts County now in for Manchester City’s Benjani

Highly ambitious League One club, Notts County are reportedly interested in signing Zimbabwe captain Benjani. Sven Goran Eriksson the new director of football at Notts County is reported to be making a daring late move to sign Benjani from his former club Manchester City in a club record deal.

Eriksson rates the hard working Benjani highly having worked with him at Manchester City. Eriksson reportedly made a move for Benjani, whilst Benjani has been in talks with Hull City, Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers about a move.

Eriksson is reported to be interested in signing Benjani on a pay-as-you-play basis.

Benjani playing League One football after turning down a chance to play Premier League football with Hull City…lol! This must be a joke, I just hope it’s Eriksson dreaming. Benjani must be still good enough to be playing Sunday football at Notts County.

Benjani’s move to Hull City collapses over the Zimbabwe captains personal terms

Benjani Mwaruwari’s proposed move to Hull City has collapsed. Hull had agreed a fee with Manchester City but the deal collapsed over the Zimbabwe captain’s personal terms. Benjani’s has fallen down the packing at Manchester City following the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz this summer.

After failing to agree terms with Hull City, Benjani’s chances of football will be very limited at City. He is now surplus to requirements at Eastlands, and it is in his best interest to move to another club.

His old club Portsmouth wanted to sign him back from Manchester City, but they are reportedly now in talks with Egyptian striker Amir Zaki. So, it seems they may not to coming back for Benjani now.

Hope he gets a club soon and start playing football, he is yet to play Premier League football this season and has failed to make even the bench.

Benjani Mwaruwari set to join Hull City

Hull City have agreed a fee with Manchester City for Zimbabwe captain Benjani Mwaruwari, according to Sky Sports. Benjani is now set to move to Hull rather than his former Premier League club Portsmouth, with whom he has been heavily linked this summer. Benjani appears to have no future at Manchester City where he has failed to make even the bench after the summer spending spree by City.

Benjani has scored six times for Manchester City since moving to Eastlands in January 2008.

Meanwhile Nigeria’s Kano Pillars have expressed confidence they will be awarded three points by the Confideration of African Football (CAF) following their protest against the eligibility of former Dynamos strike Edward Sadomba, who played against them in a Champions League match.

‘We are very confident of winning this protest because we have established a very good case against Al Hilal and we know a credible organisation like CAF will be fair, and justice will be done in our favour,’ Adamu said.

‘We played the match in Sudan against them under protest, and within the allowed 48 hours we put across a formal protest to CAF and paid the protest fee. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), through secretary general Bolaji Ojo-oba, also sent a backing letter to Cairo.’
