Sadza is our staple food in Zimbabwe, a thick porridge made from maize meal.
It goes down well with Beef Stew and Vegetables - In fact there are so many things you can eat with Sadza as long as you don’t forget chili.
I prefer with Mabhonzo ne muriwo plus green chilies, but kana ne mbeva rinoita futi. Not so sure ne mukaka…….. vamwe vanofarira ne ma Guru kana Matumbu.
Sadza re Chibataura handisiyane naro even kuno ku England………ko imi munofarira Sadza here?

Lol! How many of you guys in the diaspora still remember what Wimpy food looked like those few years back, when Zimbabwe was still a land of milk and honey, before those greedy politicians destroyed our beautiful motherland. Those days Wimpy was for the middle class veku ma ‘Dale Dale’. Well, here is a picture of some specials at Wimpy Garden today. Sadza ne Zondo for just US$1 I’m luv it! Things have really changed in Zimbabwe….Sadza ne Musoro in Wimpy???? This is the type of food that you could only get kwa Chikwanha, Mabvuku, Ku Matapi, in fact Sadza ne Musoro was never sold in town. But today, right in the midle of the city…in First Street, you get Sadza ne Mazondo ne Musoro….lol! Pamberi ne Zanu!!
What’s next on the Wimpy Specials in First Street?? Sadza ne Mukaka(lacto or to our friends maSalad they like to call it liquid chicken…lol!). Wonder what they are drinking….Mahewu??? Are going to see Chikokiyana and Seven Days in the upmarket pubs soon? You never know with the way things are going in Zimbabwe.
Surely Edna Madzongwe must have another farm, if not farms. Which makes it wrong for her to get another farm whilst other people have no land at all. Many other Zanu Pf officials also have more than one farms. And this is something that I think they copied from the white commercial farmers. From the area I come from, I knew white farmers who had more than one farms before Mugabe and war veterans chased them away.
This is just a thought, was it right when white commercial farmers owned more than one farms?
I don’t support the way Mugabe and Zanu Pf have gone about handling this land issue, they have just copied the same wrong policies that were used by white commercial farmers. ‘Not distributing land, and individuals having more than one farm’.
